Lois Lowry is one of my favorites! The Giver is what got me started again on reading young adult and juvenile books when I was in college

She has a blog- http://loislowry.typepad.com/lowry_updates/

good stuff

Oh, LOVED The Giver. I read it a year or two ago. It was one of those books that just stuck with me for a long time.

LOVE Lowry in general. Have you read her Anastasia Krupnik series? I loved those as a kid.

I'll have to add her blog to my RSS feed! Thanks for sharing!

I havent read those. I need to find them!

But I loved Gathering Blue and Messenger. I was stunned at the end of Messenger.

I really want to read those. Hopefully this year! :)

The Anastasia series is kind of older, I don't know if they are in print. Check with your local public library, maybe they have them.

I reread the first one recently and you can definitely tell it's dated. But I still enjoyed them.
