Too Tall Alice by Barbara Worton

Alice is eight years old and 4" taller than everyone in her class. She is the only girl that has to stand in the back row during the class picture.

She feels self-conscious but her parents reassure her that she is perfectly normal. "'Four extra inches to love,' her mother says."

One night Alice overhears a conversation and has a dream and went to the place where the tall people lived. There she met basketball players, models and other tall people who helped her see that being tall really isn't so bad, but really great!

What I Thought:
A fun book for people who may be dealing with feeling a little bit different. Alice begins feeling uncomfortable with her height, but in the end learns to embrace and love her tallness!

The pictures are fun and interesting to look at, and enhance the story nicely.

This book is a rather long picture book, but reads quickly and is quite enjoyable!

Recommended.
